ABOUT SMART

SMART is a 45 minute one-person show that is performed by Nicky Guadagni. This beautiful thought-provoking show highlights the life of Elizabth Smart, the Canadian author, told through the writings of her biographer, Rosemary Sullivan, the poet, Carolyn Smart, and Elizabeth Smart herself. Smart was raised in Ottawa between the two wars. She wrote the groundbreaking book: “By Grand Central Station I Sat Down and Wept,” and became a prolific magazine editor in the UK. She had four children out of wedlock by the British poet George Barker.
